Thomsons have bought First Choice. Many of the flights going to Goa later in the year are First Choice, even although youve booked a Thomson Holiday. (this is also happening with us Nov 2008)

Or you could be changed the other way, or even have an airport change (See earlier post) The only ones to gain with all these takeovers, is the big companies, who can now move people around within companies, sometimes you'll gain, but sometimes you'll lose out. Thats the downside of early booking. It's no use being told of these changes nearer the departure time, as, even with a refund, when you try to rebook elsewhere, the airport or hotel you want, may then be not available, Imagine thinking you are flying with First Choice and getting switched to Monarch. Just a few of the companies in the one group now are, First Choice, Eclipse, Falcon, Sunstart, All the Thomson brands, including I think Thomas Cook, Portland, & Hays & Jarvis. Alan

Portland are owned by Thomsons but Thomas Cook are a separate group all together.
Thomas Cook have in their group Panorama, Direct Holidays and others.
But as you say Gramps to think you were flying with First Choice and end up with Monarch would be horrific

Thomas cook now own my travel and they use dreded monach,which i have found out to my horror.
