I don't think you are getting ahead of yourself. We have identified a Villa that we want to stay at in June 2009, in Turkey. We have already been in touch with the owners to discuss approximate dates/availability, and are just waiting for Flights to be released late May/early June, before confirming dates and booking.

If you are looking to get into a popular hotel, or trying to secure a good price, then the earlier you can get yourself organised the better.

The only downside is that flight slots have not normally been confirmed, and this can lead to a change of flight times.

We booked our June 2008 holiday back in May 2007!

According to the Travel Agents mid April is when you can book for summer of 2009

First Choice/Eclipse usually go on sale around the 3rd/4th week in April with Thomson/Portland not far behind, followed by Thomas Cook/Airtours and then Cosmos. All the brochures will usually be out by mid-May. I always book early! I don't think I'll be bothering this time though, because son will be going away to Uni.
