Looking for some advice from Turkey AI experts please (before I make this suggestion to my husband!):
I am looking for 5 star AI: would be flying into Antalya, for a week at the beginning of July 2011 and I have a wish list..
Hotel on the beach
More oriented to adults than kids - ie not interested in waterparks/slides etc
Relaxing rather than the focus being on sporty/active
24 hour AI - hopefully with some international brands/good cocktails
Daily stocking of room mini bar with water/juice
Hotel with less than 500 rooms - not keen on a very large place unless someone can give me a compelling argument in favour.
Don't mind remote location/not near to town etc - we will want to chill out.
Quality food and excellent service.
Not looking for much then! I hadn't realiased there would be so much choice: have had a look at Susesi, Calista Luxury Resort, Baia Lara to give you an idea of the sorts of places I have seen which I thought may be possibles. I have been reading the reviews, but hope to get some personal recommendations: I am open to all suggestions that would meet, or very nearly meet, my brief.
Cost not really an issue - would be happy to pay for a premium hotel experience.
Give me til tomorrow, and I will give you some suggestions, prices etc..................checking 2 out myself at the minute, so they could also be added to my list ..........Yippee.
Has it got to be the Belek/Lara region of Antalya, or would you consider other regions of Antalya too?
Don't worry, like Arnie says........."I will be back"
Hiya Lynnwestie,
I am very well thankyou, hope you are too, you know how it is?............ just too busy to think at times.............................
Take care y'all

Meercat.Have a look at Barut Lara. It's on Lara Beach.20 minutes from the airport and ticks all your boxes.Stayed there a few times.Excellent !
They is the Voyage Belek also the Royal Dragon the Concorde the Barut Lara Resort hotel
Hi Trifle - no it doesn't have to be Belek/Lara. Doesn't even have to be Antalya if we fly on a different day
Going from Glasgow -the flight times are really, truly rubbish - which may make us reconsider and go to another area. Only been to Turkey once (Kalkan) and going to Dalyan next month - both villa holidays so no experience of AI there: only got experience of AI in Sharm - we were late starters to the concept after years of SC and half board!
Off to check your posts Trifle - I understand you are an expert in the field!
Have a look here
Hi Joy - definitely going on the shortlist: thank you, it looks fabulous. I have now found better flight times going on a different day, and this hotel would cost the same as 5 star B & B cost us in Cyprus in October 4 years ago!!
The Voyage Belek ,though it has water slides and such ,there is also a great adults only pool ,beach and pier .It als has an adults only dining room which is great if you want peace from children. It has everything else on you wish list .Been there 3 times and we are going again isn September .
Thanks Peter - had a look at the Voyage and it certainly looks stunning, although I didn't see it on my package holiday search. The fact that there are adults only areas is very appealing..
What about the Barut Lara in Lara Beach. I'm booked for next Easter and it certainly looks great with fantastic reviews.
Thanks bugalug- I had looked at this one and done the virtual tour: another one for the list!
I am booked into the Barut for next april and Baia lara for jan both supposed to be really nice so will give them a try. Have a look at the alba hotels they have more to do outside the hotels then lara and are sometimes cheaper then the lara hotels.
Alba royal

Cheers liana - thanks for the links
I could continue, but I am sure there are much, just remember always go up a star in Turkey or expect much lower standards.
Hi jp09 - that sounds awful, but thank you for the warning. Did you complain when you were there? Whiich operator did you go with?
