Can I just ask one more Q please??

We want to go to the bigger waterpark in Didim but are wondering how long the bus journey is? Don't fancy sitting on a bus for too long in the heat!

Well if you want to go to Didim for the waterpark, you will be sitting on the bus for quite a long time - about 2 hours!! I don't really reckon it's worth it - a long way to go for a day at the waterpark. Why not just go to the on Ortakent near Gumbet?

Just had an email from Thomas Cook saying that there will be building work going on right next to the hotel we're staying in. They have said we can change our hotel without occuring admin fees but I'm guessing that means we'll have to pay extra if the hotel we move to is more expensive? Not sure if we should change or not.....anyone have any advice?

Which hotel have they offered you?

They hadn't offered us a specific hotel but when I went to the travel agents this morning I was told we'd have to pay around £500 to move hotels. The branch manager then intervened and after a lot of calls got us another hotel (although we are now going Altinkum instead of Gumbet) for £100 extra.

She had said the building work was grade 2 and there was quite a lot of machinery on site and could be seen and heard from all areas of the hotel so I thought it best to go with the other option.

Going to the Esra in Altinkum now.

Could they not offer you anything in Gumbet? It's a longer transfer to Altinkum from the airport - did they warn you about that?

They said about an hour and a half Jakki? We'll not be arriving in Bodrum airport til 2am so I'm a bit worried about a long travel at that time of the morning but there were no other AI hotels in Gumbet for that fortnight that offered a big family room instead of just a hotel room.

We went to the esra a few years ago. We had a ball.

Loved the Esra Weemaz! I'm so glad we changed now. The transfers were a nightmare on the way home, we travelled a full 12 hours from the Esra back to our home and it put us off going back there but apart from that I thought it was the best holiday so far.
