i think it depends on what sort of holiday you are after, city break, beach etc. we have just booked really cheap flights with easy jet to istanbul, so much to see its fab we were there in oct and loved it so much going back in may. other places i have been to recently for 5-7 nights are, madeira in dec this was great, fabulous scenery. marrakech was great too, lots to see and do, slovenia was wonderful, we flew into trieste italy and drove into slovenia, beautiful country but everyone likes different things. i booked all these as diy and got bargain flights, £45 each to madeira, £50 each to marrakech, trieste £60 and these istanbul were more cos i booked from luton and its half term, but still only £90 each i could have got them from gatwick for about £65. there are bargains out there just need to keep looking, if i can help any more let me know
