Prague and Budapest can be very affordable if you choose the right places to stay and eat but if you can find a cheap enough flight elsewhere, that could make a real difference.

teletext have some good online short breaks ,was amazed to see some around £69 for 3 nights, we have opted for budapest having just been to prague and loved it

My wife and I have just been to Prague for the first time. The city is superb if you like history. The people are really friendly, beer food etc really cheap if you stay away from the main tourist areas(not too far though) Its not like we are young and need the night life although it is supposed to be very good as well we are 48 & 46

If you stay away from the main tourist areas you avoid the stag/hen groups as well
