Having just experienced my first holiday in CG, I have mixed views on the place. Firstly it has to be said it is a very clean and scenic area, although small in size. If you are staying there I think one week would be enough. There are enough restuarants to keep you satisfied, varying in prices, some were slightly overated but quite good on the whole. The two main bars my wife and I frequented were the Blak & White and the Mississippi. Again prices were high but the Euro has to take some of the blame (2 for 1 in the Mississippi between 7 and 9 oclock helped.)
We stayed at the Desmais Appts, very basic but for the price we payed good to use for a base. One advantage of staying there was the quiet location and flat road.
As for the beach, total rip off for sun beds, but very child friendly (shallow sea for quite a way out).
Overall I would go back again, if only to see if I was a little more enthusiastic about the place, without breaking my arm on the second day there falling down some steps.
Happy Days
ooer breezo sorry to hear about your arm! hope it didnt spoil your holiday too much!
I have to agree with most of what you say, however I think the beach takes some beating. Better luck next year!
