If you are staying in accommodation booked directly with the owner and there is a guest book, please put a comment in it. I'm sure it would be very much appreciated by the owners.
When guests leave our apartment the first thing I do is look at the guest book and it's so disappointing if nothing has been written!
I've just had an email from last week's guests with lovely comments, I just wish they had put them in the book. Previously I have printed similar emais and stuck them in (with the addresses removed), but, it just never looks as good. If there are spelling mistakes or typos, I don't like to do it at all. So please, take the time to leave a comment.

If we are in a private rented holiday apartment it is lovely to read previous guests comments. It is also very helpful to read suggestions about where to visit, shop, eat etc.
Also any suggestions re the accommodation must be very helpful to the owners.

Hi Kayley, We too have a guest book for comments at our house on the Algarve only to find very few fill it in. We do get personal letters though in the U.K. but as Pippa says its nice to read what other guests have written. We also have a book with all the information needed for restaurants, bars, places to visit, taxi phone numbers, emergency numbers etc. Cheers Jayjan
