Our daughter and her new husband are moving to Abu Dhabi to live in a couple of months , and we are going out for Christmas and New Year .
We will be flying from Scotland, and are wondering which airline to use. We can fly to Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi, as they can pick us up from either airport.
We would prefer direct flights, but they cost about £1000pp, and we don't want to pay that much. So which airport is best for the connection flight? I remember hearing years ago that Amsterdam has the worst reputation for losing luggage. Is that still the case?
Also, I remember reading a post about onward flight tickets are best if there are delays or something. Am I right here?
Sorry about all the questions, but I'm all up in the air about this just now - so much to organise, so little time.
Thanks for any help.
Emirates fly from Glasgow to Dubai
Have a look to see if Etihad fly out of Glasgow, we flew with them from Gatwick to Abu Dhabi earlier this year and they were excellent. We paid £380 for a return flight to Bangkok, stopping for 2 hours at Abu Dhabi.
