when we did it back in 2005 it was approx £120 by road
We have just done it in Nov £69 by coach a long trip with an early start but must see excursion. Which boat are you going on? We went on the Sentido Marhousa had a great time. If you click on my media to the left it should bring up my Slideshow 'Nile Crocs' it will give you an insight as to what you will see but it is in my own style
It's a fair drive, we set off from Aswan at about 5am and were their for about 9am, in a coach convoy, but it's well worth a visit. Current prices are £189 by air or £69-79 by road. Most cruises will provide a breakfast box for your travels. Be warned, drinks are very expensive at Abu Simbel so take plenty with you.
I'll not post photos of inside, it's a magical place.

A small tip, take the pillows from your room and have a snooze on the coach, the guide will waken you as the sun starts to rise over the desert, also look for the mirages that will appear on the return journey when it as warmed up.
we went dec30 2010 by air (booked through Comos rep) cost was £130 each and worth every penny
