Hi, relative newbie here ...
We're planning on fly driving around Greece in June, starting in Athens. Could anyone please tell me how easy it is to find B&Bs and how much we would expect to pay?
Also, can anyone recommend a B&B for us to pre-book for our first night after landing in Athens?
Great site, by the way.
Thanks.
B&B's in Athens are almost impossible to find. One I have used and can recommend highly is the St Thomas. It's run by an English girl and her Greek husband. Here's the web site (and check out their guest book) :

Take a look at http://www.athensguide.com contains anything & everything you need to know about going to Athens.
http://www.yourgreece.gr - we used them to book a hotel in Monemvassia a couple of years back when we did a fly-drive to the Peloponnese. Other than that you will find lots of accommodation on here - http://www.gto.gr/ - but many of these don't have web sites for the property, so you would need to phone up to book. We just did a lot of googling and checking of web sites like this for suggestions. Like anywhere, the price varies greatly, depending on what is on offer. We've paid as little as 40 euros per room per night for a huge apartment, around 100 euros for nice hotel and a one off splurge of 200 euros to stay at the Sofitel, which is within walking distance of Athens airport, in order to make an early morning flight.
Where are you planning on going?
Hi, you could have a look at this company - Where are you planning on going?
Perhaps B&B was the wrong term to use. We did a fly drive around Portugal last year and found some lovely pensaos (spelling?) along the way. Do similar places exist in Greece?
By the way, we hope to fly out mid-June for 3 weeks.
Cheers,
RoCas
