I'd try posting your question on one of the specialised Turkish forums on the web that have a lot of property owners in Akbuk and that area, you can get advice from locals then and hear something other than the marketing spiel.
By the way, Akbuk isn't in Bodrum, its in Aydin and close to Altinkum although the nearest airport is Bodrum Milas.
I never recommend that people go on free inspection trips or even inspection trips tied in to one agent. Going on your own and seeing a variety of agents is the most sensible thing to do.
Do loads of research before you go and really consider what sort of level of risk you want to take with your home abroad. Buying a home off-plan is always a lot riskier than buying one that is already built and with the market in Turkey at the moment there are some amazing resale properties around at great prices.
Take your time, never agree to commit to anything whilst you are there, always go away and think about it and get independent legal advice not a lawyer tied to a developer or agent.

Pay for a cheap holiday to Altinkum and go and look around the estate agents.
When you go on the trips you will be at the mercy of that one sole agent - you wont get a feel for the property market or the area.
Before we bought we did this and arranged to see four agents over four days. We saw 40 properties before making our minds up.
We didnt want to be in the thick of it and so settled for a little village outside Altinkum called Yesilkent, its very beautiful and peaceful with a great beach only two minutes walk away. If we ever want the bright lights then its only a short Dolmus ride away.
better places and better prices on news everyday cheaper and better location, you may buy a small hotel for nearly £ 300,000 in better resorts

We are delighted with our apartment and the complex on which it sits. We are in regular contact with them (informing them when we get bookings and organising cleaning etc.) and have had excellent service from them so far.
I think it's a case of trying to get a company on recommendation.
