I booked a Holiday with an Agent (that I don't wish to mention)
It's a very large UK agent but the operators are based in India.
Unfortunately, I fell for the ploy of this is the last room and we don't have any more allocated rooms for this hotel'. However, the operator assured that they price match so I paid the deposit of almost £1000. In fairness, I thought the price was good at the time and I was desperate for this particular hotel for the little one.
I got home later that day and started hunting for deals. I found the exactly the same flights, hotel and room. Absolutely identical for around £400 less with a major UK airline.
Now the customer service team are saying that they only price match flights and NOT holiday packages. Yes, I'm sure it was written in the 3 page small print but I took the operators word. Holiday is almost £400 more expensive than that of a major airline Holiday Package. Quiet a shock as airline Package always seem far higher?
Today I have found out they have taken 2 lots of deposits off me! I can stop BOTH of their payments (I think?) which would mean Im cancelling the holiday. I cant really dispute that I didnt authorise one of the deposits?
What can I do?
