My wife and I have decided to go on a cruise and stay as a silver wedding present to ourselves this summer. We've picked the Aegean Discovery cruise departing Marmaris on 12/7/10 with us staying at the Belcekis Hotel in Olu Deniz from the 5th to the 12th.
Can anyone enlighten us on the hotel ? ( the reviews mostly sing it's praises )
What about the cruise itself ? . Looking for advice on the best excursions , whether it's better to do your own thng rather than the Thomson arranged tours , what are the drink prices like , the entertainment , the ambience and as I've now been reading ...............the vibration from the ship's engine/generator or whatever.
I've been reading more reviews recently especially on whether to go back to Thomsons and get the AI drinks package . We are not big daytime drinkers but do like a tipple or six at night , depending on the company we get involved with or the calibre of drink on offer ( branded spirits rather than the local hooch )
Any / all advice , help , assistance or pointers will be gratefully accepted
, then maybe he would have 4 pints in evenings ,I drank cocktails,rose wine( 2-3 drinks per night) in the evenings and also alot of hot chocolate,most major brands were included and cocktails would have been about£3 each normally, some drinks carried a small supplement like Baileys and Irish coffees 95p extra.You will have a fab time .
