hello, I hope you can help. We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Rhodes and are so depressed we are looking to book a sneaky 2 weeks in September 'somewhere'. We will be on a budget and have a 3 year old, we really don't like british resorts, like to eat local food, need a nice safe beach but also like to wander villages and see local culture, ideally a hotel that would offer us the chance to walk out and be close to relaxed eating places and things to do in the evening (but not clubs!) Of all the islands I think Fuerteventura might suit us best, my partner likes to surf and I believe that he could do this here (?).
Any tips on specific hotels/resorts that might suit us would be very gratefully recieved, prob S/C or B &B as we love to try the local food and to me this is an important part of the holiday. Also any advice if we try and book flights and accom direct rather than a package to try and cut costs.
Thank you.
The small resort of El Cotilo on the North West coast would tick your boxes there is a huge surfing beach to the South and the sheltered lagoons to the North.
