Hi, we are going to Thailand at end of year and over new year 07. We are staying in Bangkok for 4 nights at the Bangkok Palace then on a 5 night tour visiting Chang Mai, Chang Rai etc; then on to Phuket for 8 night sstayimg at the Merlin Beach Resort.

Now the questions

1 Any info on the hotels mentioned above would be helpful.
2 Recomended tailors in Bangkok.
3 Has anyone arranged any tours with locals.
4 any info on river kwai trip and floating market and Angor Wat.
(are these best booke before or wait until we get there .

I know I'm probably asking a lot here, but want to be as best prepared as possible!!
