We are booked into a hotel and the air conditioning is payable locally.
Can anyone give us an idea of how much per day it is?
Thanks
Last year in Marmaris I paid £56 for 14 nights (had to put a £20 deposit down for the key to the a/c). Quite a resonable price as we left it on 24/7
We have 3 rooms in hotel on b/b basis. Hopefully i wont have 2 pay that per room? Wouldnt mind if only 1 room.
If you have three seperate hotel rooms you will have to pay individually for each room.
Yep that is correct its not going to be cheap for you depends on how you are sleeping at night, maybe during the day you can all go to 1 room, thats what my brother in law done, only paid for 1 room out of 2 and then slept with windows open in the second room. Personally I would pay for all 3, try to make yourself as comfy as possible.
Thanks to everyone for their help.
Air conditioning is one of my only gripes about holidaying in Turkey. I have found that hotels in most other countries don't charge any extra for air cond. Also, most hotels/apartments make it impossible to have the air cond on whilst you are not in the room. Last year I paid £20 per week to have one unit, a bit of a rip off!!
to cover the extra cost of electric and maintance but alot of hotels have now built it into there price the main problem is tour companies and what they pay the hotelliers you would be shocked when you are paying alot for your holiday and they dont get a fair slice of the cake i know this because i let out through british tour operators

Thanks
Our air conditioning was free of charge at the Samira Hotel and Apartments in Kalkan. Couldn't be left on if you were out of the room though because the electricity is operated by slotting your key into a switch just inside the door.
(naughty I know but a bit of old credit card does the trick!!).
And where do they get the costs for A/C? many charge £20-£30 per week, no way can the electric/maintenance come anywhere near that.....and whilst I'm grumbling, what about safety deposit boxes, , up to £10 per week at some places for something that will last for years and years, if the rooms are not secure and safe the boxes should be FREE.
Any other pet grumbles about the "extras"?

Del ,I always ask for a 2nd key to stop that happening. Sometimes have to pay a small deposit but worth it
