Transfer booked from dalaman to icmeler. £74 return for private transfer. Thought I would give the resorthopper a miss as they were asking for my home address and have read a few bad reviews re time taken to and from resort.
Can anyone recommend a decent company for transfers, Dalaman to OluDeniz (Asena Beach) with an idea of how much we should be paying?
Has anyone used Rain Transfer for Dalaman to Marmaris and if yes how were they ?
i am sure i read on trip advisor that rain transfers are now out of business...
They are still in business but in my opinion they shouldn’t be . We have used them a few times because they were so cheap. Our first experience was good. the second time we were crammed into a car, that is two of us, two other strangers, the driver and all our luggage; a tight fit would be an understatement more like sardines. we then took off at brake neck speed, we asked the driver to slow down which he did for about five seconds and the we were off again at full speed, he wasn’t aware of it but at that point he forfeited a 10 lira tip from us and the other couple also said that they would have tipped but decided not to. On each of these occasions we were delivered to our accommodation and collected from our accommodation. The third time we used them we had to wait in the mini bus at the airport for 45 minutes which is what they say can happen but what really grated was that we made a compulsory refreshment stop where we were charged silly money for two cups of tea, thank goodness that’s all we bought as other people had ordered chips, beer and other snacks at horrifying rip off rates . The return transfer was where the problems incurred convinced me it was not worth using them again. A Turkish friend phoned to confirm our pick up time for us which was 10.30 to 10.45 am but out side a jewellers which was a considerable distance from our accommodation. I phoned back to say that we had heavy suit cases and other hand luggage and that I expected to be collected from our accommodation and that is not reasonable to expect us including my wife to struggle around the streets with our luggage and they are not aware of our physical capabilities for all they knew we could have been ninety five years old and un able to carry our luggage that far. Despite my protests they said that they would collect us at the jewellery shop. As I had already paid for the return transfer when we arrived I felt that we had no choice. On the morning of the transfer we got a phone call to say that the transfer bus was now waiting for us outside Tansas this was about four or five times further away than the Jewellery shop, I explained that it would take about 15 or 20 minutes to walk there and I explained that the directions from Tansas to our accommodation was very straight forward and asked please could the driver come to where we were. The answer was no despite me saying that my wife would struggle with the luggage that I could not carry and I would never use there services again if they would not oblige. The only response was to tell me to hurry so that the other passengers were not delayed . At this point we abandoned rain transfers and paid for a private transfer arranged by a Turkish friend . Lesson learned you get what you pay for and we will not be using rain transfers again.
check with Hamish McTurk, i'm sure he'll give you a good price - have used him for the last 3 years and will be using his firm again in 6 days time - dalaman airport to olu denize.
I found that emails (and there were quite a few) were responded to within an hour or two each time. This inspired confidence.
We changed our return by adding 4 more people in the return journey (8 in total) which added £13 to the bill one way. The enquiry and confirmation was sorted out via email on my phone whilst sitting by the hotel pool over the course of about an hour. Good stuff.
They cocked up a bit by leaving too many child seats for the return journey so was a bit of a squeeze on the way back, but then I did alter the arrangements so don't want to be too critical of them.
Went with Marmaris transfers
Booked online,no deposit its all done on trust just pay the driver when you get to destination.
Walked out of terminal, driver there with a board with my name on,straight to Volkswagen minibus as there was three of us.
Stopped at a shop bought us water, straight to hotel at a decent pace but not going mental
Highly impressed and would def use again
£50 thats for up to six people
£40 if just two as use smaller vehicle

Anyone know how far L'Ambience resort is from Bodrum airport? Is it cheaper to book transfers in advance? Any recommendations?!
http://www.propercar.com. I have used them loads of times and they're reasonable and reliable. If you want a shuttle transfer, try Holiday Taxis or A2B.
Jak xx
L'Ambiance is about 40km from the airport and yes, it is cheaper to book transfers in advance. If you want a private transfer, have a look at Jak xx
That's great, thanks. I m looking at their websites and I can only list a resort (not sure if L'Ambience counts as Bodrum or Gumbet?) - can I just book it based on a resort and not a specific hotel?
Does anybody have a discount code for resorthopper?
no sorry but if you use Quidco they are offering 8% cashback on resorthoppa

Hi Ruth24s
Hello we are travelling to Turkey September 11th into Bodrum then onto Kusadasi , the transfers have been booked via a online travel agent, however since doing so I have been doing my normal trawling around and have found that the transfer company being used has alot of bad reviews from not having any reference of the booking to just not turning up ,I have emailed them twice with no replies , so to be safe we are looking at booking another , however if you go thru an agent you have no idea who your getting until you have paid ,So does anyone have any information of good transfer company happy to pay a little more for good service , first time we have had any concern about a transfer just a feeling really
