pittodrie, i see your going to flora park in may what date? we are going on tues 23rd and have same problem with transfer but there is six of us we hope there will be minibuses avilable outside airport. does anyone know if there are minibuses outside airport? or do they have to be pre booked

This June we paid 50 Leva from Bourgas Airport to Sunny Beach. I think they all have an agreement on 50 Leva, because we asked several taxidrivers in SB before we returned to Bourgas Airport and they all told us 50 Leva.

Sveti Vlas is not to far from SB, so my guess would be 60Leva..

I'd recommend always to pre-book your airport transfer when you arrive and ALWAYS negotiate the price with taxis in Sunny Beach .

For the first time without knowing we got a yellow cab from central Sunny Beach to Nessebar and the meter reader stopped at 46lvs - only for a few kilometers. The funny thing is that we usually pre-book our transfers from Bourgas- Sunny Beach for around 40lv one way ( which is more than 30km)

I also found a few companies doing airport transfers but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to list them ...( forum terms and conditions)and the prices varied from £14(one way) - £30(one way)

The most expensive ones can be found on google( first page) but the prices are so high - don't book through them.

The other thing I found dangerous about the yellow cabs is they drive very fast , in order to return for the next clients ( I guess). Instead of sitting and enjoying ......you feel like racing in Fromula 1. I've also seen them passing through traffic lights on red in the middle of the night .
Probably at this time of the night is more profitable as everyone is getting a cab back to the accommodation.

Planning our first ever trip to Bulgaria this summer. At the moment am finding best deals through Broadway Travel which don't include transfers - can anyone give an aproximate cost of taxi from Varna to Mimosa Hotel in Golden Sands for 2 adults and 2 kids plus luggage? Also a reccomendation of a reputable transfer company would be fab thanks

It's around 22/23km (14 miles or so) from the airport to Golden Sands - most taxi drivers in Bulgaria will charge you whatever they think that they can get away with, especially as tourists.
