Taxi fares are fixed - theres a list of them posted just outside the arrivals hall. It is around 70 euros for a taxi for up to 4 passengers to go to Costa Calma/Jandia. They will not carry more than 4. If you arrive at a busy time be prepared for a long wait!
We hired a car and we stayed in Caletta de Fuste about 10 mins away but found the car hire was quite cheap booking online and collected at airport - driving was fine, no problem even though we were warned the police are very 'hot' on tourists we had no worries. We got to our accommodation about an hour earlier than everyone else on the transfer coach, no hassles booking in. It was nice to have a car to go everywhere, I think to pay that bit extra is better than having to keep forking out for taxis and buses, by the time you have paid taxis there and back, a bit more pays for a hire car.
cheers.
cheers."
I've booked car hire for two weeks, for 140 pounds. Soooo, that's a choice of having a car at your disposal for the full holiday, or getting ripped off by a taxi for one journey...
we have just booked transfers with alpharooms.com. It was £30 for one way which having looked on other sights seems like a reasonable price
Can anyone tell me app how long does it take from the airport to Corralejo, its just that i'm travelling with 2 sorry 3 kids to Oasis Duna (3rd) kid being my wife!.She hates travelling but loves holidaying?
Depends on if you're travelling with the tour operator bus or a hire car. In a hire car it took me 40 mins - the bus may take 1hour plus whatever number comes into your head, dependant on the drop-offs.
Cheers Mooby for the info. Haddy
probably took me the same time as mooby in a hire car.
we have just got back, the transfer time was about 40 mins on the coach, we just had 1 other drop off and the coach took us past the sand dunes, it was quite a nice run.
would love to know going ther soon thanks
try http://www.premierfuerteventura.com and prebook your transfer with them. They will so you a 5 seater at a reasonable rate. Otherwise I think you will struggle.
can anyone reccommend a local firm in fuerteventura that offers reasonable priced airport transfers. theres 5 of us.
How much would a taxi to Corralejo from the airport cost? Also is there a bus?
I just booked taxi transfers from the airport to Corralejo for 3 of us, for £60 return. This was booked via alpha rooms.
I've been quoted £75 each way for a taxi from the airport to Jandia. From reading old posts it seems it may be cheaper to just get a taxi when I arrive rather than booking it.
Can anyone who has been to Fuerteventura recently confirm this?
Many thanks in advance...
Matt.
