josie you need to look at the expats forum and have a good browse at the previous subjects to get a full idea of the pros and cons. Alanya hasnt got its own airport the one you use is Antalya which is two hours away but is open in the winter. You have the problem of no direct flights to bodrum.Dalaman in the winter. Have a look at the places close to Antalya like Kemer and Belek also .Happy Huntıng

You can now gets flights into Dalaman during the winter months,flying from Manchester and Gatwick once a week.
