Dont shoot the messinger here but some one I know returned from Kos yesterday and said that Albanians (local?)gave him and few other brits problems on Kos Town?
This a wind up, or has anyone heard anything about this or other incidents before?

Sometimes the Albanians can be a problem. It's not just Kos though, we had them in Zante in June and in Rhodes last year.
Mostly it is the kids begging on the streets, sometimes it's women with babies. I don't speak much Greek and don't know any Albanian, but I'm fairly sure that what one of the men said to me when I refused to give the kids any money didn't translate to "Have a nice day".
Have a look at http://www.justzante.co.uk there is a bit in the forums about the problem in Zakynthos.

The beggars are not Albanians but Gypsies. They do not really need the money, they are just a nuisance.
