Belive me, in the temperatures they have got there now, it is not worth the effort to try and get a few more cents....you'll just spend it on drinks needed to recover from the trip!!! I believe the banks are only open in the mornings anyway.
I should take the hotel rate and relax!

Have just booked for these apartments, and would welcome any information on it. Any tips on where and where not to eat, and any other relevant bits and pieces would be much appreciated. Children are 12 and 16.

Which is the best waterpark (if there is more than one!)

Do they allow inflatables in the swimming pool?

Is it a really long coach trip from the airport (brochure says between one and a quarter hours and two hours, hope it isn't the last drop-off point!)

Cheers!

Hi piglet63

We stayed in Alcudia a couple of years ago, which has one of the fabulous beaches in Majocar. The tranfer time from the Airport to the resort in about one half to two hours long, but it is worth it when you get there :D

We are flying out next month to the Alcudia Beach Hotel (in Alcudia... obviously!!) - anyone been here before? What's it like for a family of 4 (kids age 12 and 9)? Where best to eat out in Alcudia?

Also, how much are taxi transfers from the airport?

Thanks
Colin :P

Thanks Haddy3, anyone else got any recommendations for eating out. I have heard the spanish run eateries are better than the british (probably not surprising!)

Also, any decent bars to go in the evenings?

:D

We stayed at Alcudia Beach last July and would highly recommend it. We're returning to another Grupotel this year. My review was as follows.

The Alcudia Beach was fantastic for families. Accomodation is basic but comfortable enough and the air conditioning is brilliant in both own rooms and public areas. The entertainment girls (Sandra & Marta) were excellent. Marta was great with kids - managed to get our 10 yr old daughter want to get up each morning for the "Club" which is no mean feat!! Evening entertainment consisted of Mini Disco for younger kids at 9pm followed by more family oriented show at 10pm. Some nights they had professional shows and others nights it was just the 2 girls but we enjoyed every one . Must also mention David the Spanish waiter who was great fun and always cheery - you must ask him to dance!!

We particularly liked fact that the complex is not massive just big enough with cleanest pool area we've ever seen - even saw a member of staff picking up leaves by hand one day! All in all a very safe environment for children to wander around both day and night .
