There's a large supermarket about 100 yards away, next door to which is a ticket agency where you can book allsorts of trips.
There are loads of good bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, making it lively, but not rowdy.
Approx 10 minute walk takes you to the lively Strip in Albufeira new town, and the beach is pretty much on your doorstep (albeit accessed by lots of steps.)
Albufeira Old Town and farther afield are so easily accessible from there, either by taxi or public transport.
If you want details of the apartment we stay in, send me a private message and I'll email you the info.
