heres some pictures we took last week just hope the four guys working are going to get it finished in time
we also looked round the existing complex and it was very nice
first picture is the chapel for the wedding planners
Are you booking yourself for next year then
yes we have booked already. going on the 25th june for 2 weeks
Do you think all will be complete
well lots of the accomodation buildings are built and one is painted externally so there getting there but who knows how quick they work out there
Does anyone think the prices of this hotel will go down. My neighbours have decided that they would like to join us with their 2 children but the prices are now reaching £4000 for 2 wks. Thats really expensive
sometimes the prices do come down around xmas i have found, but i cant see them coming down to what i paid for them, since i booked it has gone up over £1000
we have changed our holiday for next year, and are no longer going to cyprus......
hubby thourght as it was such an expensive country, that we would not get such value for money, and we would end up limited, as we like to still eat out, and do some day trips......
i know the hotel was all inc, but we still like to potter about outside the hotel, but on checking out some of the prices, we would have been restricted...
i am sure you will all have a fab time there, and i am sorry i wont get to meet you..........
What prices did you check and were for it may give me some ideas on how much spends to take with us
Thanks for the pics oliday, really good of you to share. Think it looks like great progress, can't see why it wouldn't be finished in 9 months time if they have got that far already. You've made me even more excited!!
We are the same as K&R, we too changed this holiday to another a few weeks back. I hope you who are going all have a fab time though and look forward to your reviews and opinions
Getting a bit nervous now people are changing there minds.
We went to Pollensa in Majorca on a day trip recently and fell in love with the place very much, so we chose to go there instead.
oh right thought you might have known something i did'nt. Well have a good time in Majorca.
i always knew cyprus was expensive but some friends went over in july and spent a fortune.
as we like to go out and about and still eat out , it would be mega expensive and spoil things, so we have changed the booking back to turkey, the kids love it there......
i hope you have a lovely time, the firstchoice lady in the shop did tell me it was coming on nicely, it was going to be quite upmarket, and i was a muppet for changing my holiday from there
Does anyone know if First Choice are to make any changes to the current accomodation already built as someone told me the standard apartments werent that 'up to date' if you like. Surely First Choice taking over means that ALL the accomodation has to be made 4* not just the new buildings? Also for anyone who has already been to Paphos is it a town with lots of Cypriot character or is it very, well um 'English' and touristy. Nothing worse than going to these lovely islands expecting to find charming greek villages and towns only to be met by a Mcdonalds and a KFC.
i went to paphos 6 years ago and it hadn't been over ridden by English culture then hopefully it hasn't changed since my last visit. i loved the place its like a nice fishing village. i am going on June 11th next year to this hotel and i cant wait, i didnt find cyprus that expensive when i visited although i did stay with my mum who lived out there at the time.
After visiting Holiday village in Majorca in 2005 and 2006 and having just returned from Red Sea Holiday Village in Egypt we have booked this one for August 2008. If its as good as the others it will be fantastic!!!
3 whole months with no replies! Has no one got their minds on their holiday? All eyes on Christmas I suppose. I got a letter telling me the driving range would no longer be there but some other golf orientated thing would be in its place (can't remember what), there was also a comment about where the accommodation would be located but it was nothing that concerned me so I ignored it. Does anyone know if there is any further progress?
I too received the letter from First Choice, I think it said the driving range was actually a putting green! THis forum has been soooooo quiet recently i think your right Caspar, everyone got Christmas on their minds not next years holidays. Hope the builders in Cyprus dont have the same focus at the moment, hope they are trying to finish the hotel ready for May when it opens. We go in July so hopefully any teething problems will be ironed out. This hotel does seem to offer an awful lot of facilities like the other holiday villages yet it surprises me that there are only 127 rooms!
