I have booked a week at this hotel from 28th September.
As a first time visitor to Corfu can anyone give me an insight into the resort at this time of year? Will it be almost closed down for the season?
What will be going on, will it be very quiet. We are in our late 40's so will be looking for bars with something to suit our ages, any recommendations?
As for the hotel, is there a set time for evening meals?
Where would be nice to go to during the day, excursions, walks etc?
Thanks
Lorraine
you should be ok the greek season finishes the end of october
I love Sidari...I got addicted on my very first visit and I happened to stay at the Alkion...It's a great hotel,The people who run it are lovley and the pool is nice...When I went there were Bingo nights,Greek dancing and kareoke amongst other entertainment...I would reccomend the Bar "fagins" in Sidari...it's opposite "the three little pigs" wich is more or less opposite the alkion, you can't miss it...The Chinese on the way down to the main street is also great ...they have ducks wandering about in there and I like to feed them prawn crackers...
There is a bar on the beach just past the chinese on the opposite side (obviously cause the beach is on that side lol)which is really lovley it's dead relaxing and you can just sit and watch the sea...
the beaches are better at the canal d'amor end which isn't that far from the alkion...go past fagins carry on over the bridge and your there
I'm goin on the 24th of this month I can't wait!!
Hope you have a great holiday!! Im certain you will...
I am off to Sidari on the 1st October this year.
We were there the same time last year and it is still pretty lively. You will get the odd place closing down, that only happened during our second week though. The weather was really good all except about one day, it was warm enough to go swimming every day and get a really good tan!
I am 50 yrs and my partner is a little younger, we find plenty to keep ourselves amused . This is my 4th visit to Sidari, I could not get fed up with the place.
I hope you will enjoy Sidari as much as we do Have a great time
