It does say local alcoholic drinks. We was not aware that cocktails are not included and a lot of people have put in the guest book about this. Also we cant find at the bar what was included, would be a good idea to have a list.
AI use to be inclusive of all meals, snacks and locally produced beer wine & spirit [some included cocktails]
Fully AI , AI gold, AI premium, ultra AI [and a few other descriptions] included cocktails and International branded drinks and often free mini bar
there is now something appearing called Soft AI god knows what it means as anyone offering it has a different slant on things [some don't include any spirit, some don't include water/alcohol with lunch or dinner add infinitum]
all i can say is check check and check again if you have to in case you expect more than you will get

I also recently came across something some called "Self Catering Plus". For a supplement, you can upgrade in SC apartments and get all inclusive drinks within a set time (think it said 9.00am - 11.00pm) - locally produced alcoholic drinks - beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks for adults, soft drinks and unlimited crisps and icecream for the kids. I thought that this was a really good idea and one that certainly appealed to me as the majority of our money is spent on drinks (not just alcohol because I dont drink that much especially during the day) and icecream on holiday especially during the day. For me, this is better than the food option of all inclusive because we like to eat out.
Seems you know which hotel we booked??????
I think its beleckiz go and have a great time i know you will. It is a lovely hotel.
Is this soft all inclusive, my mum went to turkey on soft all inclusive and think the cut off times were quiet early, drinks were 11am until 10pm no brands of drinks just there own!
You are right, looking at the prices for cocktails it adds another 130pounds to the price which we would not have expected to pay.We are not tight but I think they should put that cocktails are not included. We are looking at returning to Cyprus in 2010 as the Gold hotel we have gone to the last 12yrs has an AI option which includes everything, and I can get a bacon sarnie.
Qatarman, I agree, prices for the Belcekiz next year are crazy. This is an extremely popular hotel and Thomsons are really taking advantage of this. We have been a few times as you know but my husband has refused point blank to pay those silly prices for next year when you can't have a drink after midnight without paying for it! Hope other people will boycott it for a year or two then maybe it will be priced more realistically
Totally agree, but i doubt it will happen reading on another forum people seem to belive there is no other hotel like this,I hope its as good as they say and not all hype?????.We are not hard to please but will give an honest review on our return.
No, it's not hype. I have really missed the place this year. You will have a fantastic holiday, enjoy
The food was great for this style of hotel. I do worry about what folks expectations are, it's a very good 4* AI in Turkey, but it's not the Four Seasons etc It's been one of Thomsons gold medal hotel for years. At the end of the day you will still be eating in a buffet not a la carte, although there are a la cartes there at cost.
I do hope you enjoy it.
There are all different levels of AI all over, varying from Country to Country and resort to resort, to a certain extent you will get what you pay for, the same as most things in life. I think its unrealistic to expect AI's the world over to be the same and to all include the same things.
For me it does really matter because I dont drink that much maybe 2 Vodka/Diet Cokes a night,my wife likes Bacardi and Coke a Cocktail before dinner,so if we have to go out of the hotel to buy the barcadi and cocktails we would have been better off on Half Board. Even after doing plenty of checking it shows that you cannot check everything.
There aren't many HB hotels in Olu Deniz they seem to be either the 3 or 4 AI's or B&B so you are a bit stumped for choice if you like a nice hotel with good facilities, rather than self catering. I think the Asena Beach is half board and the Montana Pine (beautiful setting in the pines, but halfway up the hilside to hisoranu). I hope you enjoy it all the same.
we stayed in letoonia a few years ago and i dont drink much but do like a baileys and archers and we could get some branded drinks there although you did have to ask, they also had cocktails, its a 24 hr all inc, so that might be one to look at next time
hope you have a good time as the belcekiz does get very good reviews and we really fancied it but wont pay those silly prices
Thank you for your replies,we will have a good time its our holiday and having to pay for a few drinks will not spoil it for us.I thought of buying a bottle of bacardi in Doncaster Airport but to be honest I would never feel at ease doing it.I hope that reading this thread will help others who wish to check on AI at the Hotel. We have never done AI in europe before used to the Caribbean RIUs and Barbados AI.Again thank you again for your advise.
