and why you're all at it if anyone could recommend all inc places in Turkey which cater for a family of 5 (2 adults n 3 kiddiwinks) i'd appreciate it. we've been to Sarigerme and marmaris so other areas of turkey would make a good change.

Meant to say 3 adults and 2 kids, one of my kids is 18 now, big kid I'd say!!

weve just booked for barut lara, antalya. top hotels on this stretch and they have apartments as well as hotel main building accomadating for 5 people.works out more reasonable than two rooms.

Would agree with most of the other posters really. One big AI's on the med cost of Turkey, Lara beach or Side (these resorts are more international, so may nationalities). Many people recommend the Hemera Hotel.

Or one of the AI's in Olu Deniz which is a smaller resort and attracts mostly British guests. Club Belcekic Beach, Olu Deniz Resort Hotel, Club Lykia World (Full Board Plus, not AI). Loads of info on the Turkey forum on these hotels if you put key words in the search facility.

You should manage 10 days in most of these for your 4K budget.

In view of the current problems in the travel industry and the ongoing credit crunch, I would go with a tour operator rather than DIY as 4K is an awful lot to lose. At least you will be covered by the package tour regulations and pay a minimum of 100 pounds by credit card as well.

Thanks for all your replies, I have now booked for the Park Inn Resort in Sharm El Shiekh for 10 days with First Choice, know people that have gone there are they had a gret time, so time to start saving my pennies now!!!
