Sirenis Seaview Country Club 4 star hotel sounds like your best bet.you can book a/i when you get there.its at the end of the bay.but caters for young ones.

I would try to avoid the GPS group. The prices may look very cheap but they are low quality and tend not to have entertainment.

john123 is right .non entertainment or if they have its very poor.trouble is they own most of the hotels on the island.mainly s/c.

I was really astonished when out and about to see GPS signs all over the place! They must have taken over lots of hotels.

If you are happy to stay in a quiet resort I would recommend San Miguel Hotel/Club in Puerto San Miguel - lots of families return year after year.

The Hotel Fiesta Milord in San Antonio Bay is a beautiful hotel and right on the beach (although not a brilliant beach). It has direct access to San Antonio town by the ferry port next to the hotel. It is situated in the heart of the bay. Although it is half board with Thompsons you can upgrade when there. You don't even have to upgrade for the whole week or two as long as you do it for a minimum of three days at a time which gives you extra flexibility. There are drinks only options as well as drinks and food / snacks options available and all prices can be found on the fiesta hotels website. I think that the drinks only option starts from around 15Euros a day for an adult. You can also email the hotel from the website for more information. If you book for next year email them and ask for a room on Hotel Milord 21 and ask for a room overlooking the sunset, they will oblige and locate you in a room with a balcony directly over the sea.

you can only do a/i for the last days of your hols.it stops you claiming free drinks.
