Two Words. DONT BOTHER.

Too many quality restaurants all at very reasonable prices, no need to go All inclusive. Save that for the likes of the dominican/mexico/cuba holidays, certainly not tenerife.

I am fairly sure most will tend to agree with me on this subject

clarets.... while we always go for AI option on any other holiday.. it is true that we choose to go SC when we are in Tenerife and we eat out EVERY day. There are so many different types of eateries to choose from with something for every taste...thats not to say that doing that will suit every family..

I have been going to Tenerife for years and this was the first time we went AI to the Bahia Principe and that is the way I would go in future. There was no hassle and also choice of places to eat. When we went SC before it always annoyed me that you could not stop to look at the menu as they were always trying to get you in to their place.
I know the bar closed at eleven pm but you could pour yourself enough to last you.
I also found the spa was great for that shower if you had a late flight home. I will be difinately be going back

We've only done AI once in the Canaries (at the Bahia Principe) but we thoroughly enjoyed it. So long as there are several restaurants to choose from I don't see how it can be boring.

Everyone has a spending money budget on a holiday and I found it really relaxing not to have to worry about that and not having to carry any money around. If you want another round of drinks (and another and another) then you can darn well go ahead knowing it's all paid for. It's one less thing to think about and all adds to the relaxing holiday experience.

I think the other advantage AI (& HB) has over SC is that although you may be disciplined to go out for dinner every night, does anyone honestly go out for breakfast every day ? I'll bet most make it in the apartment and that's frankly another everyday chore you can do without when your meant to be on holiday.

We have been to Tenerife 12 times and always went self catering with kids, then half board so you didn't get under occupancy charge, last year we upgraded at the Hotel Jacaranda to AI and it was very good value and good, we did have some meals out but all in all it was great value, so we have booked it again for next year.
