Hi, have you checked out our reviews here:
Thanks yes i have read some of the reports, just wondered if anyone has any recent reports.
I stayed there in October 2003. Most aspects of the hotel are lovely - superb pool area, and good standard of rooms. Most of the hotel staff were lovely except those on reception who were frosty. Food was a major disappointment - breakfast was fine - unless you sit outside where you will be overrun with cats. Dinner not a good standard, so I would only go to this hotel on a B & B basis, although if you are half board they will let you swop dinner for lunch - which was always very good. Ok for dinner if you like jelly for dessert - it comes in many colours and was usually all that was on offer. Be careful about the mini fridge in the room -it is pre stocked and they will charge for you to store your drinks in it - they will also try to say that you have used their drinks when you haven't! My niggles were minor - the hotel is in a good situation and I would stay there again, although I would not pay extra for a sea view.
I've stayed here twice, both times BB which was fine. I wouldn't pay the extra for a sea view room as the hotel is on the opposite side of the road to the beach! The only downside I found was weekends when the locals use the hotel for their wedding receptions and it can get a little busy - but most people are out on the town anyway. Hotel is in a good position convenient for both town and the triangle bars and restaurants.
Hi, we are going again this September and it will be our 15th time in the Aloe in 11 years, think this answers your question. Cannot wait!!!!

We stayed at the Aloe for 10 nights in June 2003. We liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay. For us there were only two areas we felt let the hotel down a little, it is not directly on the beach, although we knew that when we booked so it wasnt not an issue, just a nice feature.
Secondly were the breakfasts, we thought they were a little limited however it is nigh on 3 years ago so that may have changed.
Enjoy the Aloe and Paphos
Here is a photo I took of the Aloe pool area :-

I found the hotel very comfortable, and the staff lovely except on reception where they were rude and grumpy. The indoor pool is very nice, and the public areas are fine. I had no complaints about the bedrooms either. It's in a good situation - quiet but not far from bars and restaurants.
I would stay here again but wouldn't go half board. I would rate it as 3 star rather than 4, but it is certainly an okay place to stay, with the pool area being its best feature.
thanks for your comments,i have been told the food has got better i hope so, does anybody know if you have to wear trousers in the restaurant jan
hope someone can help do men after wear trousers in the restraunt in the evening, and does anybody know how old you after to be to use the gym jan
When I went in 2003 men were required to wear long trousers at dinner in the hotel.
Back then I wasnt bothered about gyms (different story now, really enjoy using the gym) so I am afraid I cant help you but I cant imagine there is much of a rule on ages, perhaps 14 or so but probably not a big issue as long as any under 18's behave themselves and act sesibly on the equipment they should be fine.
thanks for the info i was asking about the gym for my nephew who his 14 jan
I am considering booking for the Aloe Hotel in Paphos for 2007, however some of the reviews are not particularly good for previous years. There is only one review for 2006. Has anyone been this year?, if so how was it? Would appreciate your comments. Thanks
Can anyone help with any recent reports on the Aloe Hotel in Paphos? I have looked at the reviews but there is only one for 2006. Any more recent reviews please? Reviews for previous years are abit of a worry.
