Your English is good, don't worry! You will be fine in Sharm on your own if you are sensible and do not dress in a provocative way. Of course you will be able to swim in The Red Sea, there are many places to enter the water where there is no coral. i just read your topic,i'm reassure,i hesite beetwen Movenpick (el gouna)or Baron resort (Sharm)do you know these hotels?what the best place?

I have not seen the beach at the Movenpick El Gouna but the Baron Sharm does have a good sandy beach and has snorkelling close by. The Baron is a well run resort hotel in a nice area and rates very highly on the Trip Advisor reviews. I would recommend the Baron Sharm in this case.
