Which of the 2 hotels have you booked? We have only ever stayed at Splash Landings, which we really like; the water park is great fun too.

hi

We have booked the Alton towers hotel and the waterpark, but no theme park as yet so that if we experience bad traffic etc we don't lose out...did you book the theme park too?? also whats the food like in the waterpark??

Hi

We just came back from Alton Towers hotel last week and had a lovely time. Rooms are lovely and clean, with lots of little free smellies which my youngest daughter quickly put in her bag to take home!

The water park is lovely and clean, lots of lifeguards, food is just your average fare, we paid £5 for two drinks and nachos and it was ok. We had great weather so the outside pool and jacuzzi was great.

We ate out in the splash landings hotel on a night at the buffet which we did think was quite expensive, £18.95 for adults, teenagers £12.95 and under 12s £6.95. You can eat as much as you want so I suppose if you like your food then you could get your monies worth.
They also have a floodlit crazy golf which we played at 9.30 at night and had a great laugh.
It is an expensive weekend but in fairness we did have a great time so it was worth it.

We have booked to stop at a Alton Towers Hotel for a week end in March. Its called a Caribbean weekend and although the main theme park is closed you have unlimited use of the water park. You can use the facilities of both hotels but was just wondering if anyone knew which hotel was best to stay in. Our children are 10 & 12 and by looking at the web site I think the Alton Towers one looks nicer (the splash landings one looks nicer for younger children) can anyone who has stopped there give me any advice.

Also can anyone suggest a nice pub we can go to on Saturday tea time as I have read the food is expensive and not that nice at the hotels.

Thanks
