I've have been to Crete only once before and that was six years ago and it was to Makriyalos. I then ended up in Lindos in Rhodes for the next 12 holidays, twice a year.
After Lindos again in May this year, I'm now going back to Crete, but this time to Aghios Nikolaos, and in October.
So can you help?
1 Has anyone been to the Angeliki Apts before? What are they like? Central situation, clean etc?
2 I'm going on 3 October. What sort of weather can I expect?
3 I'm a single traveller. Is Ag Nik the place for me? (I'm a young 54)
Thanks to anyone who replies for taking the time to help.
i think this is the one you are after http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/greece/crete/milatos/angelika-apartments/

The ones I am looking for are supposedly in Aghios Nicolaos.here is the description in the libra brochure: Angeliki is a small family run guest house comprising 6 studios and 4 twin hotel rooms, it offers a central location in the very heart of bustling Ayios Nikolaos. Set back from the harbour, the views of the waterfront are spectacular. This accommodation is not suitable for elderly or disabled guests as it is located at the top of a steep hill and is reached via a number of steps.
Basically, has anyone been to them?
And, what is the weather usually like at the star of October?
Thanks again,
Danny
ive not been to this apartment myself but here is a link to a site with plenty of reviews of it
i suspect the reason being, that they work only with tour operators abroad, or that the name used to be another one and i dont know the new one.
i can only have a quess of its where abouts from what i read, and if it is where i think, it should have good view and lots of steps. will see if i have the time today to pop in the area and take a look from outsite if i find it.
will let you know.
the town in October is not so busy as its close to the end of the tourism season. for me october along with May, June and September are the best months. Not to hot and not to cold. not that many people around that makes your head buzz and less traffic.
still warm enough (dont forget i am Greek so difference of coldness apply ) to walk with a t-shirt. different colours in nature (if you take a car or walk out of the ordinary things in town). above all for me those months are the ones that you can actually get to know the locals and not their ''pocket interest'' only.
Don't bother climbing all those steps!
I'm sure I'll have a great time as it's only a place to sleep, after all.
Ag Nik sounds great...not too busy and not too dull.
The weather info is great...thought maybe I was too used to a dry, warm Rodan October. Glad to know Crete's the same and I don't need a new daytime wardrobe!
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
Danny
