Hi Africangirl,

As far as liquids are concerned, see the airport security information HERE.

Remember that the rules apply to hand luggage not checked-in luggage.

Africangirl, regarding your questions about the fridge, cots, & so on, this will usually vary depending on where you are staying, so the obvious question is:- "Where are you staying?" :D :D
Knowing that, it's possible taht someobne who has stayed there will be able to help.

Anyone been there lately and what's it like?
Thanks

Hi Africangirl,

Yes the liquid rules still apply at airports, you will have to carry sma cartons in a separate plastic bag. Once they can see what they are they will not make you open them, but don't take too many as there may be a limit on liquids. Don't worry they have baby milk over here not sure if its SMA though but there will be an equivalent, or other brands.
All inclusive holidays will not mind at all your toddler eating food. The apartments will have fridges, and am sure the cots will be up to EU standards. I know you must be worried bringing your toddler away but am sure you will have no problems, I came over here when my son was a toddler years ago I couldn't even buy disposable nappies, but believe me times have changed quickly over here, have a good holiday.

Africangirl, the hotel website - http://www.ifahotels.com/hotels/en/hotels/bulgaria/riviera/mare/accomodation.asp
specifically states that all rooms have a fridge, so no worries there :D
I'm sure the cots will be more than adequate, given the EU regulations on children's beds; certainly when our daughter was younger, we had no trouble with cots, and that was some years ago now.

Hi Africangirl,

In relation to Airport Security Regulations issued by the Department of Transport on THIS website as indicated by Baldur above, these are what you go by. Anything else is wrong and misleading.

If you look at the website, you will see that baby food is specially provided for -

Baby Food

Liquid baby food or sterilised water, sufficient for the journey, can be taken through airport security. The accompanying adult will be required to verify by tasting.

I also have to smile at this -
I'm sure the cots will be more than adequate, given the EU regulations on children's beds

I hope so, but Bulgaria has only been in the EU since January 1st 2007, and they have a tendency to ignore inconvenient laws.

Peter - I know, I was basing my assertion on the fact that the hotel is German owned - I have been to Bulgaria enough times to know exactly what you mean
