Also wondering about the Best Negresco and the Best Cambrils which is right on the sea front but not sure about the entertainment and what the food is like

Hi Ya,

Have'nt been for quite a while but found the Sol Costa Daurada in Salou cheap and cheerful there was plenty of choice but on different visits the quality varied.
Perhaps too far away from Barcelona but ok for Reus. The Trip Hotel in Cambrils is very nice but don't know about your budget. These are both on the Sol/Melia Web Page.

Hi Dalkirst, I have stayed at the Negresco but it is a good few years ago now. I have also stayed over the road at the Punta Dorada. Found the food good in both hotels. Both of these are really good for proximity to lovely beach. I have stayed at Vi.la Romana - food was also good here and 15mins walk to P. Aventura.

Thanks for the replies.Probably going to book the negresco in a minute then as just booked flights to Barca.Anyone know the cheapest way to get down to cap Salou(not salou as it's about 20mins walk away i beleive?) from the airport?

Found a coach transfer site called planabus.com that seem quite cheap but they go to Salou so not sure about them dropping us off?
Not sure whether to do the cheaper way of getting the train to barca Sants and then going that way but as we have a 6.55am flight will be knackered to mess about possibly.

Yeah read the reviews and also trip advisor and they seem quite good.Found a 12min video on youtube aswell;)

Anyone else know about the negresco then let me know please.

By the way anyone booked via alpharooms before as they have come up cheapest for this hotel?
