I am going there next Sunday for 1 week. I will let you know how I get on when I return.

went to viva tropic about 4 years ago and loved it. as you will know it is at the port end of alcudia so near to shops and restaurants and also beach is only a 5 minute walk away. the apartments were very clean as were the grounds. pool is large so enough room for everybody. didnt eat in dining room there so cant comment on food. we usually stay at bellevue so it made a change to be in a different area but we did walk down to bellevue end quite a few times as we preferred the beach up there.

Hi polly, we stayed at the viva tropic july 2005 had a fantastic time, if you have a young family they will love it, there is plenty of entertainment from 10 in the morning untill 11.30 at night, 5 minute walk to beach an 10 minute stroll to the lovely port, hotel is spotless and the staff very helpful and friendly, rooms are spot on and aircondition fantastic, food was also very nice, had a some very tasty meals in hotel, I could go on all day about what a great hotel this is, but you will find out for yourself soon enough, have a fab time you won't be dissapointed, we have booked again for this july

when are u's off? were going in july can't wait, friends of our's were stayin in bellvue when we were there last year, had a meal up in it, not to keen on it ourselves, too busy for us, like things a little more quiet if your going SC, check out sergant peppers round the corner, do a mean breakfast an a nice pint, also go to the drunkin duck, many a good nite had there u also gotta try tex- max american restaurant hungry thinking about it, ps, put a photo of viva tropic on pics for you, it's only half of it, have a good hol

Thanks Daisychain, We are going the last week of may cheers for the recomendations for the local bars and cafes as we are going self catering.
Anything has to be better than our last visit to bellevue but looking at the pics this place seems ok. I will put a review on when we get back.

OOOh dear i just read her thread in the flights forum, what a nightmare. My family think im a bit potty always allowing an extra hour to get to the airport. We are usualy the first in the queue when check in opens but you never know when a breakdown or accident can close a motorway. I feel so sorry for her.
