We have booked a week in an apartment in Cumbre del Sol near Moraira for May 2008 - Saturday to Saturday.
Whilst the no frill airlines have not yet released their schedules for next summer I know that travel out and back at weekends is always dearer than other days. BA flights are out and they are cheaper during the week.
With this in mind we plan to extend our holiday at either (or both) ends with a few days somewhere - either b&b or an apartment (if available on a daily basis). Does anyone have any suggestions? We have stayed in Altea - quite a few years ago. We do not want Benidorm or anything similar!! We do like lovely views - either sea or country and a fairly quiet location.
We have looked at various sites like Owners Direct etc.

Have a look at http://www.casapauline.com which is a b and b in Moraira. Although I've never stayed there the place looks very nice on the website. We're going back to Moraira in October, and if you want I'll go and have a wee look and see what it's like. From the map on the site it looks as if it's on the same road as the Gemisand restaurant, so it's about a mile walk into the main part of the town.

That looks really nice - only snag is it might be a little too close to where we are staying in Cumbre. It is good in that you don't have to have a week there.
