Sick of it myself but, four weeks on monday I am off to turkey again and I can hardly wait.

i was hoping for a base tan before heading of to Turkey in a weeks time (horay ) not much chance of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ofcourse I'd rather be in Kalkan in the sunshine than here in the rain. Only 11 days to go now.

Would rather be in Bitez! Feel the same at this time of year even if the sun is shining fit to burn your eyeballs!

We got back from Turkey on Tuesday and if it carries on raining we will

be changing our possibilty of going back in October to a definitely going

back in October. Never been so fed up after coming back from being

abroad. Mind you it was our first time in Turkey and we loved it....

John glad you enjoyed your holiday. Turkey becomes addictive. I'm so fed up of this weather just wish we were going with my daughter to Marmaris next week.

Just back from a long wet walk to the petrol station for some goodies to cheer me and the girl up, with the rain lashing down, gray sky`s and with no chance of it stopping soon.
But dreaming of two long hot weeks in Marmaris to come makes it almost bearable ... Only two weeks to go.

Left this morning at 4:45am for work, it was cold, dark and very very wet. Like a winters morning with the wind blowing too.

Yeah, of course I wish I was in Turkey, but 5 weeks tomorrow, I will be....whoooppppeeeee.

Roll on.

I hate to do this BUT.... could you sent a little rain over here! it's so hot I'm sleeping on the balcony and getting woken up at 6 every morning by the mosque! Today he was particularly melodic and went on for ages! I had barely got back to sleep when the sun come up. So I write this bleary eyed and short tempered...... it's not all roses living here you know!

In 32 days time we will be off to Kalkan and will certainly hope that things are a lot cooler out there then than what they are now. Where we are located, we have been more fortunate than the poor people in Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Though the land is flat around here, we have escaped any serious water problems.

Does anyone know just how hot it is at the moment? Seen reports of 45 - 50 degrees!

We are on a gulet the first week and then in Olu the second week.

Looks like we will be sleeping on the deck on the gulet!

Look at all of you going back to turkey soooo jealous i dont get another break till october as i work in a school and when i do break up its all closed up and not sooo busy soo ill have to wait till nxt year till i get to go back to turkey...i love it so much.(first time this year)

Who in theire right mind wouldnt want to be in Turkey right now regardless of the weather

I'm in the same boat as you. we've just got back from 2 glorious weeks in Gumbet and we are both sooooooooooo depressed. My husband keeps saying that he's sure he was never meant to wear office shoes but only flip flops. He's usually the fatalistic one - ypu know "well, all good things must come to an end," - "there's always next year to look forward to," - "you have to rejoin the real world at some time," - " I'm sure we'd eventually get fed up of Efes, sun, bays, sand etc." !!!!!!!!!!!! Like yeah, that would ever happen = no matter what you say about mosque music, Chelsea Boy - but my man is really suffering this time with the "Apres Turkey Blues, " (did Elvis ever sing that one?). It was our first time on our own -without kids- for 30 years and it was fantastic. No one to worry about except ourselves. The only decisions were ...when shall I turn over to tan the other side....what might I select from the menu later.....is it time for another drink yet......is it time for another dip in the pool.....is it too early for a Raki......how long will our siesta be today....
