Arrossim is the second most northerly of the southern beaches, on the long strip that runs from Velaso in the north to Mobor in the south. It is only half an hour from the airport, and IMO one of the best beaches in Goa, it's wide , almost deserted with only the odd shack dotted about, and very quiet, if you don't like crowded beaches this is a good one. I haven't stayed there but know of two hotels the Heritage Village (all inclusive) and the Hyatt 5* which is one of the few hotels in Goa that has sunbeds on the beach. Both have reviews in the Hotel section. I stayed at Utorda beach,which is the next one along ,If you are interested I did a short report, use search Utorda beach lassigirl, some of the tips might be useful.

We will be going to the Heritage Hotel in March for the 4th time. Arrossim beach is absolutely gorgeous and as Lassigirl said there is hardly anything on it. The shack at the end of the road from the Heritage has about 12 sunbeds and apart from the Hyatt (whos sunbed's are only for the people staying there I believe) there is not a lot else. You do get the occasional cow being walked along and a few locals playing cricket but that is it. The sea is quite rough and has a strong current but as long as you are sensible its ok. Oh and of course you will meet Camilla and Sarah selling their goods, but they are lovely and really dont trouble you too much. It really is lovely

The first time we went to Goa we stayed at the Heritage Village. We walked from Arrosim beach up to Zeebops and hardly saw a sole it was gorgeous . Palm trees one side and blue sea on the other - the nearest I've been to paradise.Lynn
Absolutely agree Lynn, even beats the Grenada beach in the Carribbean for me, paradise is the word.

We didn't visit Arrosim, but we visited Utorda as Lassi says this is the next one along, all I can say is wow, I was bowled over , it is heaven, so quiet, and very beautiful ......bliss
Has the food improved at Zeebop this year, as last season it was awful.We normaly got to the Bar next door Island view,much better and the service is excellent.
