We have booked for Easter 2008 - but flight only. It worked out far more than this Easter - another £100 each making it £500 each! Its such a rip off but Im restricted to ehn I can go due to working at a school.

We have to book early as Im restricted to school holidays and I have found in the past that the flights shoot up in price. Booked with Monarch from gatwick - its a pain of a journey to the airport but (as yet) Thomson dont seem to be flying in April to Goa.

We booked last week for two weeks in March2008. Its over the school easter holidays. We booked on the cosmos website at the prazeres hotel and it was the cheapest holiday we'd seen and that was altogether £685.

No never stayed before but the price was good and I read a few reviews before booking. I'll be honest the worst thing that was said about the hotel was that it got noisy on a night as the bar was open late and they had entertainment on but that didnt bother me and my boyfriend, all the rest of the reviews said it was basic but very clean and that the staff were nice enough. Ive never stayed in a two star hotel in my life and wasnt really wanting to for two weeks but like my boyfriend pointed out to me, we're very rarely going to be in the hotel, we'll be out from morning to evening so there was no point in spending alot on hotels when theres so much more in Goa to spend money on.

Your boyfriend is spot on Trixxy - we stayed in 2 star on our last trip for exactly the same reason and yes it was very basic but we never spend time in our room unless in bed or showering so I think we made the right decision, our friends were staying at the prazeres and they were quite happy with it, love shirleyv

Mids - on our return last year (2nd week in April) we booked flights straight away with Travelpack,maybe worth a try to see if they are selling tickets now ?

After 6 times to goa we've done the dirty onthem and booked to go back to cuba next year, mainly cos i miss the snorkling, cuba's a great place for it!!
