you could maybe try owners direct, as there are a few people who have nice apts on parque santiago 3, and club atlantis, i'm sure they would be happy to rent them out to you for a month.

Thanks, Chris. I will have a look at these before deciding whether we go or not.

Hi digby,
I can recommend Victoria Court 2 apartments in Los Cristianos. Lovely complex and NOT on a hill :) There are private apartments on most of the holiday rental sites, and there is also a letting agency on the complex. If you need any contact info let me know.

chico45. Thank you for your offer. As we are still in the holiday planning stage, we are not too sure yet where we will go but Tenerife is a possibility. If we decide I may get in touch. January must be very busy as most places seem booked up then.

Wickedchris. Have just checked Easy Jet and they don't fly from Glasgow to Tenerife. Thanks for your help though.

No problem, digby, get in touch if you need to. Globespan fly every day to Tenerife from Glasgow and Ryanair have recently announced winter flights from Prestwick on Mondays and Fridays. Good prices with Ryanair too, if your in quick enough.

Thank you all so much for your help. Retiring end of November so thought a month in the sun after New Year would be great. I am enjoying searching different places and Tenerife was always a favourite. This makes work more bearable for the next few months! The problem is getting my other half as interested as I am. I think he thinks it is far too early to book as we have another holiday to arrange for Septemer, but as you all know, it's never too early to book decent accomodation. Thanks again, everyone.

Hi digby,
Yes, always better to book early to avoid disappointment, especially your flights. Happy hunting, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time, wherever you choose.
Oh, and enjoy your retirement. :sun2

chico45, thanks for your good wishes. My husband has now decided we should go to Tenerife for our 10 day holiday in September and while there have a look round and see if we see anything that we like. I am chuffed as the original plan for Sept. was to holiday in Britain. Me thinks it's too expensive so that's the plan :tup

YNTTK. Thanks for that. Sounds great but unfortunately not the right amount of time for us. Have had a good look and thanks to all you people trying to help, I have found there are some places available in January. I may be shouting HELP nearer the time if we come up against problems. Thanks again.
