Having been to Stalis, Crete in 2006 and Los Cristianos, Tenerife in 2007, my girlfriend and I have decided we'd like to try Lanzerote for Summer 2008. The best thing about Stalis was the location, just 2 minutes walk from the incredible golden beach and 2 minutes from the strip containing loads of bars and restaurants. Only flaw was the terribly small and unuseful accomodation. We went with First Choice to Crete so decided to book seperately ourselves for tenerife.

The apartment in Tenerife was incredible, had absolutely everything we could need and was massive, therefore we didn't get on each others backs. Problem was we were a fair distance away (20 minutes walk) from the town centre and about 30 minutes from the golden beach. They were worth it when we got there but it was quite labouring having to walk so far each day/night (even for two 20 year olds )

Trying to suss out somewhere that can provide a reasonable combination of all the good points from our two holidays. We'd like to stay in Puerto Del Carmen as it seems to have everything here (strip of restaurants, shops, beach) but in a decent sized apartment on flat land and quite near to all the restaurants. I've read through almost all of the reviews of hotels and apartments but haven't really goot much further. I'm also not sure whether to book flights just now as I know BA will be dropping Glasgow-Lanzarote from their schedule and it'll be EasyJet most likely taking it over, so the flights may be quite a bit cheaper than the current ~£400 I'm getting just now through Flyglobespan.

Can anyone make any specific apartment recommendations to me, or perhaps you have your own SC apartment that suits the above?
