I've heard that if you can prove you a resident you get into the Aqua park half price, can anyone confirm this?
Ta,
Steve
does anyone know how far away the aquapark is from the fanabe costa sur.
It is about a 20minute walk uphill. The skypark is closer to you but only has childrens slides, a proper swimming pool and extreme rides e.g. bungee jumping etc.
ok thank you
Apart from the Dolphin show (which was really good) everything else was a complete let down. At most they had 10 slides 2 of which were for toddlers which they decided to shut down for a couple of hours without any explanation.
My 15 yr old son thought the slides were rubbish apart from one which he said was OK.
The reason it is a rip off is that you pay €22 adult for entrance then they expect you to pay €3 for each sun bed you use and €2 each to look at the dolphins in the pool. Basically you have to pay for everything and the staff we found to be very unhelpful and rude. Everything is overpriced.
If it wasn't for the Dolphin show (which I promised my daughter she could go to) it was rubbish and I wouldn't recommend it.
i dont know what you expected to be quite honest. firstly you should have bought your ticket before you went. i got mine for 18 euro and then jumped on the free bus. to be fair the water park isnt huge but we had a great time. especially the boomerang scared the you know what out of me! we had so much fun having races on the twisters too. the waterpark is what you make it so people reading this dont be put off.
I don't consider it alright to shut down slides when you pay so much money to get in and then re-open them 2 hours later with no explanation. My daughter had not been on water slides like this before so was nervous and wanted to try the small ones first. There were quite a few fed up people with young children.
The saving grace of this place was the dolphin show was was fab.
This was our opinion.
Greenshoes have you heard of value for money - I expect to get what I pay for and having not gone to PDLA before we weren't aware we could purchase these tickets in advance.
We went a couple of years ago, I didn't find it good value for money and at that time it was in need of a make over.
at the end of the day its a business and out to make money and i hardly think that 22 euro is alot of money for a day out and a dolphin show. pdla waterpark is a relatively good one on comparison with other med resorts. but it is what you make it. i had fun because i let my hair down, went on everything and didnt spend all day moaning
i didnt realise you could get weekly tickets. doubt i would of used one but i'll let my friend know who is going out there with her kids. good idea.
Did I mention that once inside there was very few rubber rings so people had to hire them (oh yet more money to shell out)
It is not a good waterpark compared with others which we have visited in the past and they didn't cost us as much.
It is on a very small scale as well.
I agree the day is what you make it and thank goodness we were in a large group. Like you I make the most of a experience and don't moan all day but I put my opinions on here when I get back for others benefit and if you don't agree tough !!!!!
i dont think 18 euro was being ripped of as it aint alot of money
i happily waited a couple minutes for a free rubber ring ( for 2 rides or 3 including the lazy river) without getting all up tight about it
Now that you've both expressed an opinion on the pros and cons of the waterpark can we please leave it there and get on with the main purpose of the forum. Every member on the forums has a different view and I'm sure that some will agree with greenshoes and some will agree with CarrieBMW but that is what we want, an exchange of opinions on the island of Tenerife without falling out over it.
well for you who havent been out to pdla aqua park you must go on the boomerang. it is actually terrifying. my boyfriend sat on the front of the rubber ring and i sat to the back. kamikaze still drops aint my thing. word of warning though if you go on it with a small child the adult must sit to the front and child to the back. i witnessed a very scared dad getting made to go to the front much to the delight of his laughing little boy
Have to say though that the dolphin show was excellent
Am looking at buying a week pass for the waterpark, can anyone tell me where i could buy one or if i have to wait till i get out there.
Thanks
Gem
Im sure someone will be able to help me. Were In Tenerife this weekend and are wondering what price the waterpark is this year?
Also how much is the 7 day ticket?
Any prices or tips on the waterpark would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Look on Here. I think a dayticket was 12 euros at the gate.

The dolphin show is great and worth the entrance fee alone but the pools are saltwater
I am told the new Skypark has a great kids section and is freshwater

Yes you do have to pay for the entrance fee, sunbeds and lockers and I do think the total cost is a bit steep - but having said that we always return. I would always hire the rings as even on a fairly quiet day you have to queue for them as well as queuing after for the ride.
One thing I did notice was that the locals all had buy one get one free vouchers out of a newspaper/magazine, so they might be worth looking out for.
Also you can buy your tickets at the supermarket up the road from the water park so you can go in the short queue.
If you follow the link for the Aquapark which peter has put on above there is a voucher which will save you 10% of tickets bought at the gates.
