I have never been into the very old history of Malta, more the Knights of St John.
But this new year we will be back in Malta and will have a day out in Valletta I am sure the last few times we were in Malta the museum was being refurbished.
I may have a look inside this time, not so much the old ruins but as the old Auberge De Provence.
So what is this about well I would like to know if the walls are like the Grand Masters Palace? with all those paintings of deeds of daring do or just plain, as if they are just plain I will not bother going in.
Thanks,
Dave.
Although there are some painted ceilings and walls the main function of the National Museum of Archaeology is to display various artifacts brightly lit in cases or on plinths with minamalistic but functional surroundings in a modern way as found in many museums, so as such there isn't a great deal to look at in that respect, certainly nothing like the Grand Master Palace.
I really enjoyed our visit to the Knights of Saint John hospital. Very interesting. Really enjoyed Valletta
There is the 100 exhibit exhibition on at the moment. which is interesting for a look around and has exhibits from other Heritage Malta museums.
