Have a look at Travel with Friends for accommodation In Acharavi, and Castaway Travel for local information. Castaway Travel is THE local travel agency, we offer accommodation and excursions, many using our own boat on Captain Aris Cruises , we will show you some of the best parts of Corfu with our rather special Captain, Aris, who is a real character.
We are a local Anglo/Greek team and offer free advice based on years of experience.
Acharavi is an excellent place for an all round holiday, a great safe sand and shingle beach, lots of bars and tavernas for a low key night life, beautiful scenery and a water park within walking distance.

I went to Acharavi (sp) 2 years ago, and found it a nice resort..

Excellent for families, good bars, friendly people, nice beach, nice restaurants, not commercialised, no touts, if I could complain, I can't think of anything..

Quite a way from the airport, so make sure transfers are included.

Car hire is reasonable/as expected, and is a great way to get out and about round the island..tourist traps getting the coach tours, so go in the hire car (jeep)

Might seem a little under-developed in ways, but thats what its all about!

10 / 10 from me...

We've just returned from Acharavi on 6th June. It was our first time in Corfu, and we could not have picked a better resort. Loads of tavernas/restaurants, most of them were SO inexpensive we could not beleive the prices, compared to say the Canaries. Our favourite restaurant was the Acharavi park, (known as the Waterfall as it has sheets of water at the entrances and inside also....very pretty). This we found had the best food, service and prices. The beach is OK, but as you get towards Roda, it's not so nice. We turned the opposite way, and if you walk for 10 minutes or so you will find that the further you walk, the whiter the sand becomes and the beach and sea become less pebbly. The waterpark is about a 10 minute walk along the main road, and is worth a visit. Our 11 year old loved it, and it's not so big that we couldn't let him have complete freedom there.
You will have a lovely time I'm sure....where are you staying? we stayed in the Matoula, which were fab! :D :D :D
