I think American Express offer Traveller's Cheques in a variety of currencies. We bought our sterling ones (American Express) on Saturday from the Post Office and got charged £3 commission in total. If you can get yours commission-free from your bank then that's great - we tried to get some from Nationwide which were Commission free but then they wanted to charge us £3.50 for delivery to the branch, plus you had to phone a premium rate number to order them. We weren't very impressed by this so went to the PO instead.
Thanks for that Corinne76 I'll go for the ones from the bank then.
Dont forget that you will pay a higher comission when changing them in Tunisia then you would changing cash
