Hi,

Went with argo holidays last year to cyprus, had no problems.

Found them to be ok. Stayed at the Brilliant Apartments in Protarus, (it was cheaper than 2 others i had prices for ) to stay at these apartments, When picked up at the airport only another couple on our bus to go to Protarus, so were there in no time, didnt have to travel to lots of other hotels / apartments along the way.

would definately use them again.

I went to Rhodes with them about two years ago and they were fantastic, very professional. They tried to get a foothold from Newcastle airport, but sadly it didn't work out for them. Another arm of theirs is Medlife Holidays, which seems to operate at the lower end of the market. I can highly recommend Argo Holidays.

We have used Argo twice to travel to Cyprus. We had excellent holidays both times. Our rep was really professional and knowledgeable, not like some operators! We would happily use them again :D

Thank you so much folks - I must admit this confirms what we thought just looking at the brochure we found! Its a stunner and knocks spots off any other we've seen!!!!

Used Argo's sister company MedLife for a last minute bargain in July to Rhodes this year and thought they were very good. They appear to operate as one once you are in situ. Rep was brilliant even though we didn't meet her until the final day! We left her a message saying that we had been before and wouldn't be bothering her but she popped a note through the door twice just to check we were OK. Taxi transfer at no extra cost from the airport to resort because " there were not enough on that flight to book a coach". I like that sort of attitude, customer comfort and service first and it makes a change from having to hang around for another flight in order for a coach to fill up.

Maybe I have a jaundiced view of most TO's because this is the first package we have taken in a few years because we find DIY cheaper and easier. However the attitude of MedLife and the decent standard of accommodation offered for a bargain price (even when taking brochure price rather than what we actually paid) made a refreshing change to previous experiences.

Thanks for that Magster

That sounds great - I think a good rep can make a big difference - even if , like you, you wont use them. We had a similar experience with FC once and once the rep realised that we'd been before twice and knew all the pros and cons never even spoke to us (even if we smiled and spoke!)

Again, to all folks who have replied - many thanks

Now its just a case of which hotel ???

decisions, decisions, decisions!

Travelled to Cyprus with Argo, hotel wonderful, resort rep non existent and after booking flight times changed by 12 hours each way so actually lost a whole day.

Have travelled with them twice. Found them excellent.

rep was around but not intrusive and wasnt trying to push trips. She knew we were frequent visitors so she respected that.

Last time we used them we had a taxi transfer waiting for us - courtesy of Argo.

Hi

Back in Pafos for 17 days 2007 - am now researching for somewhere else after ! Toying with Rhodes or Crete ----------- but then get tempted by a cruise (cheaper one) -------- then end up in Barbados --------

The fun of going is the researching!

Inbetween - off to Lapland in feb 2007 ------- not much difference!

Hope you're well and enjoyed the Athena Royal!

xx

We travelled with Argo in the summer to Kefalonia. We booked 12 weeks before hand, but made the mistake of booking AOA, as in the past we had had some fantastic deals. BUT Argo made us seriously think again about ever going AOA. Our accommodation was substandard even by 2* standards, and although the rep did the best she could and managed to move us, we still did not get anywhere near what we paid for.

Argo head office were just not interested, and gave the rep no authority to offer us any kind of compensation. As far as they were concerned we had booked AOA, they had our money and would therefore chuck us anywhere.

I would never book with them again.
