Hi Bev, stop worrying. Stayed there myself last July, and are returning on July 13th. Found the Asena to be clean, staff very friendly and the food very good. I am sure you will love the place, any other questions just let me know.

We stayed at this hotel last year and had a great time. The only "issues" we had during our 2 week stay were (1) children were not allowed to play pool on the main table (even when accompanied by an adult) and the pool table in the games room which they could have used was broken for the whole 2 weeks and (2) the table covers and napkins in the restaurant for evening meals were disposable paper ones which I was a bit disappointed with. However the staff more than made up for what were 2 very small things. One night they had a "gala night" where they introduced all members off staff to the guests (even the cleaners, gardeners etc) which I thought was a lovely touch, the hotel also organised 2 staff days out (taking 1/2 the staff each day) to a jeep safari as a teambuilding exercise - again a lovely touch which showed management who actually care about their staff morale. This really is a lovely friendly hotel, the rooms could do with a little bit of an upgrade but who goes on holiday to sit in their room?

Hi

We stayed there two years ago and we thought it was good,(and we are in our fifties). The rooms were looking a bit run down but the food and the staff more than made up for it.
Yes they do have entertainment on for the kids during the day and something for the older generation on a night, but there is also quieter areas like the beer garden.
If we ever go back to Hisaronu we wouldn't hesitate on using this hotel again.

Hi I have some questions please - are there tea and coffee making facilities in the room? We have booked a family room does anyone know if we will have a separate bedroom from the children?

Also did anyone pay flexi dine when they got there - was it easy to do?

What is the air conditioning like?

Will we be able to buy stuff in the local Azda and smuggle it into our room and hide it?

Are children allowed to get drinks and just add it to the tab or is it only adults? Is it definitely better to pay the bar bill each evening?

Erm thats it for now folks - thank you!

Am very excited as you can tell and unfortunately got to wait till 6th August!

i was going to post some similar questions too.
any idea if there is a gym at the asena village?

Hi,
Don't exactly know what you mean by flexi dine, but you can pay on the morning for their night buffet.

The air conditioning was very good, but it is extra.

We used to take things in from outside and nothing was said, but we did hide it best we could.

There was no gym when we went.

Have you looked on their website HERE maybe you might find more information.

Kids can get drinks and add them to the tab, they will be asked to sign the receipt and need the room card. I would say better to pay bill every day or couple of days at the most - no nasty surprises that way. You can use the card at the bar and also at the little shop just inside the gate (sells sweets, cans of juice etc).

no gym at asena village , we ve stayed 5/6 times in the last few years and never had any problem taking bits of food and drink to our rooms, just do it discreetly and itll be fine. with the evening buffet you can flexi dine, or just pay on the days you want to eat, food its always good at asena.you can hire a kettle and tea making things at reception , we always take a travel kettle with us, there is a fridge/mini bar in all rooms, and we always keep bits in there no problem. I would pay your tab off every day just to keep on top of it, we never had any mistakes, but if you did then it would be easier to notice :) this is a lovely hotel with great staff from top to bottom. rooms could do with an upgrade, but i think this is o n the agenda

just read reviews again one on another site stating you are not allowed to take any food/drinks from outside in to the hotel and that you are searched by security on re entering hotel. :yikes can this really be the case???
now i am really getting a bee in my bonnet about going to the asena village

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. I am going here on the 6th August (cant wait!) and just had a couple of questions. We were going to take lira or arrange to have it changed there as I understand that I might get a better rate but would it be better to take sterling or take the money out of a cashpoint?

Further is there internet access at the hotel?

I have heard that we can hire tea making facilities but was going to just take our own kettle and teabags etc. Would that be ok?

Does anyone know how much the air conditioning is?

Also will my 3 year old be allowed in the kids club? I understand there is a Thompsons kids club but we did not book with them!

Thanks ever so much

yes they have internet access, air conditioning is £3 a night, safety deposit boxes £1 a day. think your child should be ok in kids club. we took a little lira and changed our £ .s in resort got a good rate, also used english currency to pay for turkish baths .
you can hire tea making sets not sure how much. be careful taking things in like water etc from outside of hotel as they do stop you if your using supermarket carriers, all we did was take a back pack out with us to the shops and put our things in that and were never stopped. things are more expensive at the complex shop.

we ve stayed a few times and always taken our own kettle and things with no problem. Always taken things like water/pop in , in a bag discreetly and never had a problem. Your kids wont be able to use the thomson kids club if you havent booked with thomson, but there s a hotel run kids club they can use.

anthony.higgins50,

You might find member hotel reviews for the Asena Village Hotel useful.

No it is not central, it is at the edge of the village which takes active people 5-8 minutes to walk to. Regarding steps, there are steps down to the pool and also the accommodation on both sides though the main reception, bar and restaurant are all "on the flat". There are nowhere near as many steps as the Pine Valley next door, that is a nightmare for anyone with walking difficulties.
