It has May 2004 under my avatar but I am sure it was 2002 when I first joined.
My son gave me his old laptop after I had a mini stroke.
I stumbled on HT on the Florida forum and the first person I "spoke" to was Alisonvilla.
It really was great fun in those days and I spent hours and hours on line until I started getting phone bills of nearly £200. I eventually got broadband and a new laptop.
I have met several members over the years,including Pat and have been in contact with Annette recently on a Knitting FB page.
I remember around May 29th 2005 when the most people on line at once was around 2,000.
I am now spending my holidays in the UK so dont do as much research but still pop on HT occasionally.

I'm sure my joining date is wrong too, as I remember the ezboards, and agree with jay trip how we used to be on dial-up and worry about the phone bill, I'd write posts offline and then connect to post them etc., also if you stayed on too long, people trying to phone you up got angry, do you remember?

I do pop in but since I tend to go on holiday to the same places in Mallorca, Tenerirfe and lately Menorca, I don't often have anything useful to impart
I guess it's largely "been there done that" for a lot of people

Hi everyone, I cant remember when I joined but I was on the ezee board complaining about Golden sun holidays, then on here, asking about Benidorm, Sanji came to my rescue Im pleased she did because when Robert (my husband) was alive we had many holidays there

Hailstones the size of golf balls yesterday evening but back to sunshine today.
